is there a cure for MC?

So back in September 2017 I went to see my GP complaining about small bumps in the pelvic area. They were quick to diagnose it as Molluscum contagiosum (MC) and said there's no treatment for it, just leave it. However I first noticed them back in February 2017 and still have them now. There are more now than when I first noticed them and they don't seem to be going away. I've continued to have sex with my girlfriend and nothing has been transferred to her, so I'm not worried about infecting anyone. But they really aren't nice to look at and it affects my quality of life mentally so can anyone suggest a way to get rid of it? Should I go back to my GP for further advice?

Hi anonymoos, I don't know much about molluscum contagiosum but on the nhs website it says that this can clear up on its own in around 6 to 18 months. There is information on types of treatment as well nhs.uk/conditions/molluscum...
