I got diagnosed with genital herpes type one, just over a month ago. I've not had any outbreaks since. The other night I slept with someone and they pulled the condom off without telling me, how likely is it I've given it to him?

Genital herpes, type 1
Cheeky sods they should never pull the condom off!! Have they no respect?! I would say highly unlikely- you usually only pass it on if you have blisters present- though that doesn't mean it's impossible. Just be careful to keep an eye out for symptoms(and don't have sex if you have blisters) never give oral sex if you have a cold sore, and also be careful who you get intimate with!
As you didn't have an outbreak then it's unlikely that you may have passed on the virus... however that doesn't mean to say you haven't as some people get very mild symptoms .
You can shed viral cells immediately before and after an attack as well and the blisters can appear in other places. If at the time of diagnosis it was your first attack and you were given medication, it maybe it was enough to knock the virus out... not wishing to be unkind, but don't hold your breathe on that one.... only time will tell.
Ideally whether you are having an attack or not your partner needs to know that you have it...it is very common nowadays.. there's an obvious reason for that.
As far as the guy taking the condom off, if you had sex without, he could have given you anything... for your own and others sexual health sake ... it pays to ask questions and know someone fairly well beforehand.
There is a website which I found very informative hva.org.uk. There's a lot of subject covered on it.
