If you go to a clinic and get tested for chlamydia & gonorrhea will the test also pick up TV - Trichomoniasis? If the doctor isn't looking for that?
I went to the clinic and nothing shown. But went again a month later and told me I have Trichomoniasis? I'm confused. As if you go to get tested won't they look for everything?

They do test for everything as far as I know, were you active again during that month you waited to go back? And were u having symptoms in the first place?
I had symptoms of discharge and a smell then I would have itching also. One day it would be like thrush then will be like I have BV. I went to get tested and test results was ok. I did take thrust cream and tablet and also tablets to treat BV. then I would say I still kept getting a slight smell. Then I slept with my ex and got tested yesterday and it came back I have Trichomoniasis. My ex is saying he doubts I got it of him his the only person I've slept with since both SDT check ups.
You may have contracted it after sleeping with him the second time, and if he’s the only person you’ve been with then he is who you got it from, he’s not not being up front about it but he needs to be checked out. Usually trich doesn’t have symptoms, so he may not have symptoms, sounds like you may have had a little bv too because that comes with allot of discharge and that all too familiar Odor 🙄 (I used to have chronic bv it was so annoying) but at least there is a cure for trich. Also make sure you go back for an actual Pap smear and ask to be tested for hpv. And after this just start being proactive in your life and have safe sex at all times, because it’s really sooooooo much going around that’s worse than trich AND worse than hpv to be honest. Better to just be safe you know
I've had other sexual partners over the 5 months since we split. I have been to the clinic after these other partners. Then I slept with him my ex. I've had these bv symptoms on and off for 3 months or so. So I used bv, thrust tablets. Still kind of had that smell slightly. If the doctor isn't looking for Trichomoniasis will a test for chlamydia & gonorrhea pick up TV.
I've told him to get tested.

And the tablets I taken for bv. The doctors said is the same for tv. So if I've taken tablets for bv wouldn't that of killed the tv virus too?
I’m not really sure, I google it and it says there’s a one time treatment for trich, he didn’t give you any treatment for it?
It depends. I worked in the labs that the samples are sent to. If it’s a urine you did they will just do chlamydia and gonorrhoea. If you had triple swabs taken the virus lab will look for the chlamydia and gonorrhoea but microbiology will look for the TV. This takes a bit longer as if they think they see trichimonas on a slide but aren’t sure they may need to use an enrichment broth to encourage what’s there to reproduce to get a more definite result for you. These results won’t be available either until the rest of The culture is completed, which includes looking for bacteria that causes bacterial vaginosis.
Frankly speaking I get tested for STDs in two different places, in a clinic and in a private lab.Don't want to say nothing bad about, but I got two different result's, and in the final the private lab was the one who told me the truth and gived me the right cure.
