Reassurance needed

Hey, so first post here and I have a question that I need answering for a little reassurance. I'm 23 years old, my long term boyfriend is 25 and we have semi-regular safe sex. We are always clean and careful, we use extra safe extra thick durex condoms and my boyfriend actually has a problem were reaching completion is difficult for him no matter what the circumstances so he never ejaculates inside me. My mother keeps making jokes about me being pregnant whenever I mention that my period is a little late or a little strange this month but I feel fairly sure that without the chance of any semen ever reaching my system, I can't get pregnant. Am I right?

If he is never inside you without a condom on you are not at risk of pregnancy. If he went to leave your body and found the condom broken then you would be at a very small risk, even if he hadn't ejaculated yet, from the small amount that leaks out before an actual climax and you'd need to consider the morning after pill.

You're taking all the right precautions to avoid unwanted pregnancy so try not to let your Mum's comments worry you. As a Mum myself I'd be proud you're thinking things through and I expect she's not realising she might make you worry. Is she not someone you can talk to and just say 'No, Mum, you don't have to worry about that.'?

Your period arriving late is very common. Even if you're on the pill it doesn't run like clockwork. I personally use a period tracker app on my phone and find it useful to see that the cycle can vary but you'll begin to see a pattern emerge of by how many days it might vary. Everyone is different and before having children I always had a five week cycle rather than the 28 days everyone expects.

Usually only way become pregnant is for him to ejaculate inside you around your ovulation time of month. Yes you should be correct
