Hi everyone

I've been on the progesterone only pill for 3 days now and I was wondering how long you have to wait to have sex ? As I'm getting the implant on Tuesday.

Can anyone help ?

The POP works after two days so should be working now. If you have started the POP in the first 5 days of your cycle you are covered straight away, otherwise 2 tablets are needed to cover you. If the implant is fitted in the first 5 days of your cycle it is effective immediately otherwise it will be working in 7 days so continue your POP for a week after fitting.

Hi hun, if u took the pill on the 1st day of your period I believe you can have sex as soon as your period ends...if not then 7 days....it should be explained in the instruction leaflet of your pill though.
