Unusual menstral bleeding whilst on the pill

Hi joined so I could get some help. I will proberly be going to see a sexual health nurse this week but still. I'm on the pill Cerelle and it usually works fine except for spotting occasionaly, but recently I've been bleeding for more than a week and I don't know why?

Hi. I would def get it checked. Your Gp maybe a good place to go.

I had about 3 months of bleeding really unexpected when I was on Yasmin pill a few years ago. I'd been on it about 2.5 yrs and then it just started. Still don't know what it was but I was sent for a scan and had a chlamydia test too. I'm not saying you need chlamydia test but a scan may be useful if it carries on for any length of time.

How long you been on cerelle? Progestogen only pills can cause erratic bleeding as a side effect, even if it's been fine for ages.

I have been in the same situation and took 2 trips to the doctors but they changed my pill to a higher hormone one and pills to stop bleeding first day using them so will see how it goes hope it works as this is really frustrating I know 2 weeks of bleeding naahhhh not about that life but yeah go to the doctors it will help. good luck.
