okay... my partner has put his naked penis in me one time for about five seconds but didnt come or anything.. since then my periods have got two days shorter and come earlier... i have been on the pill before and am wondering is this the reason for my periods reverting to their original week?? my periods are like this for three months now...please help

Hi Carlee,

Even though your partner didn’t ejaculate inside you and it was for a very short amount of time, there is always a chance that there are some sperm in pre-ejaculate (pre-cum.) Shorter, lighter periods can be a sign of pregnancy so the best thing to do is to take a pregnancy test. If the test is negative but your periods haven’t returned to normal and you’re worried, then perhaps you should speak to your GP or local family planning clinic. They would be able to have proper talk with you about your cycle and at the very least put your mind at ease.
