Am I pregnant

Hi all, just wondering if someone can help. I am on the pill for 4 months. In since From March to April I had 40 days period cycle. The April one last for over 16 days. I wanted to come off the pill because of that. But after missing 2 days whilst in the 16th days period, I started again when I was advised. 7 days later when the period stoped, I had unprotected sex but still using the pill. Today is the 44th day after the long period. I only had 2 days symptoms and spots a week ago but no more period. I have done 2 test but all negative, but am having sore breast and sometimes symptoms of period pain. Could I be pregnant?

Lets start by asking what pill you are taking ? progesterone only ( mini pill, POP ) every day or combined ? ( classically 3 weeks on 1 week off ) ?

I am taking POP everyday.

Ok. So the "periods" you are having are not really periods but unscheduled bleeding on the progesterone only pill. If you had a 2 days gap , but then took the pills again and had sex a week later , then you were protected ( it takes 2 days for the POP to work as a contraceptive again after a gap )

Tenderness in the breasts can be caused by progestogens, also spots . If you are happy with the POP otherwise then you should continue it, if these issues are troubling you then you should return to the place that prescribed it to consider other options.
