Hello ruby2846, I would say "yes". In my view, the adult diagnosis process around Autism is not always perfect - often particularly so as it relates to people who are high masking through late identification / women / or those from other under-represented groups (maybe via heritage, ethnicity, culture, sexuality, trauma, or stigma within society).
From my perspective; nobody is likely to put themselves through a Neurodivergent assessment for entertainment value (the waiting, stress and uncertainty, varying Family / Community / Healthcare Settings support etc.).
My feeling is; what you feel about your likely Autistic traits, what aspects of life present challenge to you (often unseen and poorly supported by society), which reasonable adjustments to navigating the World might be beneficial to you, discovering a non-judgemental sense of "safe space" Community ...are each more valid concerns than a written report by someone who may not have lived experience of Neurodivergence / Autism.
Really the 1) "your not neurotypical", 2) "you have Autistic traits", 3) "you are not Autistic enough" playbook ought to be outlawed ...well, in an ideal World.
There is a meme which comes to my mind- which I will try to attach as an image (if it is the right format / size) which highlights the lot of - so-called - "mild" / low support needs (not NO support needs) Neurodivergent people.
You’re either autistic or you’re not. There’s no “slightly” about it. So yes, you’re welcome here.
