Hello, I’m a mother of a 4 year old lil boy with autism as well. He was diagnosed with the condition if I remember right, at just 6 months old. Even though 4 years has passed my little boy is a mute child, and he’s in a special education class and program. Idk what to say about your situation with your grandchild but maybe you can talk to her pediatrician letting he or she know what’s going on in school. What the teacher has told you, and she should get one on one with a speech and language teacher at her school. My son currently has one in school.
