Is there anywhere on the NHS website or somewhere credited by them that have information on masking?

Can you tell me what you mean by masking, I can only go on what my daughter does, when she is in a situation with a person she will put on a act and as soon as they have gone go back to her (normal) low mood and take herself into another room as she likes her own company, it is anything like that?
