slow loading site

Hi am I doing something wrong or am I the only person who finds this site very very slow to load everywhere else is almost instant but here isn't. I can't count the number of times I have given up and gone elsewhere so is it something I am doing or not doing just me or is anybody else having problems

You are doing nothing wrong and you are not the only person who is finding the site slow. I am having exactly the same problems. I know other communities on HealthUnlocked have highlighted the issue to HealthUnlocked and I have just done so also on Ataxia UK's behalf. In fact I think I was writing to them as you were writing your blog!! I can only apologise on their behalf and let you know when I get a response from them.

Oh dear. I did think it was better this morning compared to yesterday. I have e-mailed the team at HealthUnlocked (I am not the only one by any means) and I have been assured they are trying to fix the problem. Please try and persevere.

dead slow again there was some improvement but now it is normal [dead slow] service as usual just thought others should know I missed the virtual group, time flies must set my alarm clock for tuesday at 7

Hi all. Currently the loading times seem quite good, to me. But I remember trying the site a while back and having a lot of issues with load times.

If anybody wants to know why there were issues, keep reading:

When healthUnlocked recieve my request to view a blog page, they first have to get all the data together that the page requires, build the page, then send me the page so i can see it on my computer.

This takes time and uses their resources. When there are hundreds of users on healthUnlocked websites (ataxia-uk is one of their sites), all of these users are sending them requests, using all their resources and causing them to slow down. So they send users the pages much more slowly.

Have they fixed this issue now? All they need to do is purchase a better "hosting package"...
