International Day of Disabled People is on 3 December.

I have Friedreich’s ataxia and I am one of the one in four people in the UK who are disabled.

But who is doing this disabling?

My book is a powerfully positive memoir; a remarkable story of self-discovery, luck, resilience, and love. I explain that disabling is mostly done by our environment, other people and ourselves.

‘Disability Is Other People’ is for us, our families and friends. It also makes a great Christmas present!
