I do about 20-25 minutes of strength and stretching exercises every morning as soon as I get up. I have been told it's also good to do some "in the evening".
When is it best to exercise in the evening: early evening (before chilling out in front of the TV for an hour or so) or just before bedtime?
I'll ask my neurologist at my next appointment, but I figured I'll ask here in the meantime - also, I understand we're all different in terms of exercise needs and our routines (so I expect some different answers!).

To be honest any exercise at anytime always helps but it’s really good in the morning as overnight the body stiffens so exercise will loosen you up. Any other time is an extra bonus so do whatever works for. If you can do different exercises on each session as much as you can 👍🏻
Hi Ed. Yes agree with what others have said. Would add thoughi i focus on whenever I move, so concentrate on walking, going up stairs (with 2 bannisters) everyday activities doing them as accurately and smoothly as I can. Also try to challenge myself, so not taking the easy way to do anything.
Try challenging the cerebellum by doing 2 things at once eg walking on the spot while cleaning my teeth. And mixing up the exercises each day. This helps with boredom!
For me exercising later in day is not so good as fatigue makes being accurate and smooth harder.
There's lots of tips for ataxia exercises on internetwork. Over the years I have tried many different ones.
