A new remote study from the Harding Lab at Monash University aims to better understand how different brain and body functions (movement, speech, thinking skills, & mood) are affected in spinocerebellar Ataxias, and how these functions change over the short-term and long-term. If you have SCA1, SCA2, SCA3, or SCA6 and are interested in participating, you can find more information here: monash.edu/medicine/ccs/neu...

🙂Participants from around the world are welcome to join!

Hi Guys

I am in OZ and have been doing the Harding study for 23 months

Each month you do an online test at your own pace.

Visual, speaking, finger motion and listening.

Results are recorded and analysed and you can see what changes have occurred over time :)

Have a go

🙂 I hope your Neurologist can suggest medication to help alleviate tremors. My diagnosis is Idiopathic Cerebellar Ataxia, so I’m not eligible for the Study..and my walking is affected too.

I know myself how frustrating appointments can be..Neurologists don’t seem to offer much information, but you can get an answer if you ask.

In the past I’ve made notes of questions I needed to ask, because it’s all too easy to be distracted at the actual appointment.

Sometimes, it can be very difficult to find the exact cause, there are just so many different types. But, I hope she can offer help with trembling..
