Dutch hunger-winter

Has anybody with Ataxia ever heard of complications caused by the Dutch hunger-winter? Or being more susceptible to it?

I am Dutch and was born very shortly after the end of WW2 in the Netherlands, so my mother was pregnant with me during that hunger winter in the Netherlands and suffered extreme hunger and cold

Now I heard that complications can even be carried through to the second generation.
