The winter months make a big difference to people suffering from ataxia. I usually get up at 6am do a 10 mile run, lift some seriously heavy weights, have a cold shower a pint of milk with 6 raw eggs and spend the rest of the day doing charity work.

In the winter it gets that bad I can hardly crack the eggs 👹

I do a lot of exercise and lots of long distance wheelchair pushes outdoors. Last winter I did not have much of a problem with the cold. This cold season so far it has really impacted my Ataxia. I'm wondering if part of the reason is because I have lost a lot of weight and therefor lost insulation, or if its just another sign my Ataxia is getting worse.

It could be loss of weight but as you know ataxia effects muscle so does cold and age especially if you’re ancient relic like me.

Don’t let it be a worry just do what you can anything is better than nothing. Brain in the right place body in the right place.

Take care my friend and stay strong.
