Friend of Ataxia UK - Gluten ataxia

Hi everyone,

We're looking for a Friend of Ataxia UK who has gluten ataxia to facilitate our Birds of a Feather (BoF) session at the virtual Annual Conference 2021 - Friday 15 October at 4pm. The BoF sessions allow people who are in a similar situation to meet each other and share experiences. We are looking for someone to take on the role of facilitating the group for gluten ataxia. If you want to find out more information, please email communications@ataxia.org.uk.

Many thanks,

Leanna, Communications Officer

Interesting Leanna. Although I presume my consultant would have run the appropriate tests nine years ago when I first developed ataxia symptoms, my instincts are that I am allergic to gluten in that the intensity of my ataxia can vary with the content of my diet. If it is the case that I harbour a gluten allergy is there any way in which I can independently verify that fact. I'm mindful of the trouble I may be causing you but I would be grateful for some simple guidance on how to proceed. Cheers. Piero
