Exercises to ease dystonia?

Left-hand has started cramping (rather painfully) for last 2 weeks or so. Now so bad that I'm typing this (very slowly) with one hand. Expect GP will have a medical solution (botox for the hands, how very glam). But is there any exercise that is recommended? Thanks.

you could try spiky squeeze ball available from ebay.. I use these in various sizes for rolling under feet and squeezing in hands

Yes squeezing a hand ball is very good to start with.

Then move onto regular hand exercises. I find they really help. Stretch your fingers backwards with the other hand, then bend fingers and sort of clamp them to each other, then spread the fingers and starting with index finger place finger by finger on top of each other, and repeat in other direction - placing one by one onto little finger, make a church fingers pressing against i'each other from each hand - then one finger from each hand - two by two fold them downwards. I'm not sure if I'm explaining very well 🤷🏼‍♀️. Look up hand exercises on the internet or on Nigel heath's site.

Keep using them and moving them. I know it's difficult and painful but do try.

Let us know how you get on
