Bathmat please?

OK I try to have a bath most nights. It is a real challenge because it is upstairs (and I hate stairs).

I have a child’s bathmat which has been excellent but it has started to move when I get out.

Anyone found a good one please? x

I can't help you other than to suggest you could contact your occupational therapist. Perhaps they could supply one.

My mother had many things provided, including bath aids.

I hate baths so I shower, we’ve got a shower on the ground floor of my extension and I say “I’m just off to the camp site” 😆😘

I cant get in or out of a bath, so use a shower, with a plastic non slip mat from home bargains

I can get into the bath but can't get out again! The last time I got stuck I kept thinking of that quote on Facebook. " They're going to find me naked" That certainly helped me get out but I've never risked it again.

Hi Litty,

I never use a cloth mat, ever, as they can slip. I only use now for many years, a coir mat, which is sold as an outside door mat. It is PERFECT. It looks good, very spa-like, and never slips. Also easy to clean.

I have a bath seat. It lowers and raises me up and down. Just need to swing my legs over the bath edge. The electric seat does the rest. No need for a bath mat. Would this not be a safer/better option for you Litty?

Hi Litty,

I now use a bath lift but before this I used to wear plastic crock shoes. On to get in the bath they don’t slip at all, take off to bath, on to get out 🙂
