How long is a long time, waiting for an appeal?

All this "talk" about, go to a Tribunal Appeal, is all well and good, and comes from a good place... BUT the time it takes, other serious conditions, mean one could be dead.

I have just had a reply from an E-Mail I sent the other day, and this is the response...

"Thank you for your email.

The average waiting time for a Universal Credit hearing at Lincoln is 31 weeks, although this can fluctuate. Your appeal is currently 27 weeks old.

Kind regards"

its enough to put one off, or is that what they are hoping for?

Hi I waited 8 months but that was in Leeds.everytime I phoned them they kept telling me they had a back log. I won my appeal so good luck.

Have you written to your MP? whatever party they are in they should take up your case. I was reduced from Enhanced mobiltity and care to no mobility and Standard care after a "Review". My husband wrote to our MP and I'm sure that got a quicker result which re-instated my benefits to their previous levels. Good luck.
