Hi everybody its me again

I have been off work for 6 months, been receiving ssp, but this has finished now, I have been receiving esa for the last 3 weeks.

I have health and work conversation appointment with ESA this coming Tuesday and also a capability for work questionnaire to fill out and an assessment to follow , which I am really worried about . I am off work with depression and was diagnosed with inherited progressive cerebellum ataxia 4 years ago. I need advice if anybody can give it please 🙂

I wish I could help but my stress and anxiety levels went through the roof and I gave up with it. I’d strongly advise that you go with someone, check the building out for awkward things like steps (not all these buildings are accessible). Look at parking, you might need dropping off at the door. Be prepared for every question and ensure you write down and take with you a list of any aids you use.

Prepare yourself for weirdness too... I had my driving licence revoked with my Ataxia and prior to the messing me around , I received email after email of fork truck driver jobs

Good luck, tell the truth and try to stay positive xx

The best thing Is to be honest. If you have good and bad days tell them about the bad days what you can and can't do. I use a mobility scooter to get out or a walker but some days I can't even get dressed. Make sure you emphasise on these experiences. And good luck x

They came to our home to assess my husband. The assessor was really nice and helpful. We had a positive reply within a fortnight. As others have said just be honest and tell them of all your difficulties
