Hi...I applied for PIP on 17th Feb this year and received official notification I was awarded on 1st June (cant remember when my assessment was - towards end April I think). BUT, I had a call from DWP the week before about something else and they told me I had been awarded PIP.

Dont be too stressed about it, normally takes 6-8 weeks to let you know but will be back-dated to day you first applied for it. The letter told me my award runs until May 2020.

I advise you keep your award letter as it gives you the scores and how they have assessed your condition. Refer back regularly to these as if your condition changes you can apply for your award to be increased.

GOOD LUCK.

It took 7-8 weeks and they did give it to me.

You can ask for a copy legally which made interesting reading! I did not agree with scoring but qualified anyway so did not need to appeal.

Wait and see but appeal if necessary.

Good luck x

SO SORRY and so wrong!

If you can stand it appeals often work.
