Sounds fun! My rail kept falling off so I got a builder's one for shifting glass sheets and it is so strong x

That's good to hear, I find there is never enough information before booking, even in England. We booked a premier inn accessible room, but it had a bath, apparently there are different levels if room, but the only choice given on line was an accessible room or a room.

They do have wheelchair accesible rooms rooms on request, but if they don't tell you, how do you know !! Just as well it was for one night only 😀

When booking a holiday I check everything relating to disabled person holidays...... as I use a powerchair.....but having said that, I have never been out of the UK in my 73 years...... hoping you enjoyed your holiday xray

This country is beautiful I wish we could guarantee the weather

I assusumed in this country an accessible room meant accessible for everyone and saw no reason to call them as on the invoice I'd booked just that. Nothing on their website gave indication of different meanings, I was going to call directly, but couldn't find a direct telephone number, just a premium rate call centre number.

I too always check things over, google for reviews and ask questions to those who have given reviews on trip advisor.

I have even rung the hotels directly in Turkey and Tenerife, after all accessibility is the main part of your holiday as abroad I'm always there is a difference in what they believe to be accessible. Always been pleasantly surprised how well equipped they are. I just didn't expect this country to be so far behind the times, especially in such well known accommodation. We also use travel lodge in Bournemouth but they only have baths too.

So pleased to hear your holiday worked out so well, we just make the best of things don't we 😀
