Hello my name is Debby I was diagnosed with C.A. over 25 years ago. After being bounced back and forth between the psychiatric section and the neurologist was dropped by both. After 15 years of managing my condition on my own I'm so tired.
Hi Debby😊Your post is shown as a reply to the above question, so members may not be aware of it🤔
It's recommended that everyone be reviewed at least yearly, although this doesn't always happen as a matter of course. I started having disorientating symptoms a long time ago too, and suffered many years through misdiagnosis.
Speak to your GP and ask to be referred to an Ataxia Specialist, not all Neurologists are the same. Or, ask to be referred to your nearest Ataxia Centre🙂
After 15 yrs it's unlikely you'll meet the same Neurologist, and your ataxia is likely to have changed, records need updating🙂
Ataxia does cause actual fatigue, plus a variety of other often nonsensical disorientating symptoms😏 Look online, or contact directly for an information pack (inc info for your GP), see ataxia.org.uk 😊xBeryl
