On March 25-28, Ataxia UK, the Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance in the USA, Ataxia Ireland and GOFAR (FA group in Italy) are co-hosting the 2015 International Ataxia Conference for ataxia researchers. At this conference, we would like to create a presentation to help bring the patient voice to the research community.
The conference committee has asked for people of all ages living with ataxia to submit high resolution photos (1MB or higher) and answer the questions below. With the submissions from the ataxia community, we hope to create a slideshow presentation with photos and quotes that will be shown throughout the conference. These presentations have been very effective in past conferences. We hope you will consider a submission.
Responses should be sent to Jonathan Evans by Tuesday 10th March (jevans@ataxia.org.uk)
Please answer the following questions along with photo submission:
1. Name
2. Age
3. Location (City, State, County)
4. Type of Ataxia
5. What is the one main way ataxia affects your daily life that someone without ataxia might not realise?
6. What is meaningful research progress to you?
7. Are you involved in research, fundraising or an awareness initiative? If so, why do you think it is important to do so?
Best wishes
Harriet
