The one that comes bundled with an Archos 101(I think it is googls) seems to recognise me for web addresses ect but I don't know how good it would be with letter writing
I have ICA and use Dragon. It's v good as it learns as time passes eg. You can say ''ICA' and train it to type 'Idiopathic Cerebella Ataxia'. It also learns all the foreign footballers names and, to my surprise, it typed 'supercalafragalisticxpealidocious' right out of the box! Apple freebie is OKish but doesn't learn.
My GP recommended ' dragon' it works on iPad . I hope this is helpful x
thanks a lot for your answers.
I could download Dragon´s software ( 13 is
the latest edition, i think) couldn´t i
they say "starting at $ 100"
they have no trial version
But, does it understand "SCA-mumbling" ?
(Google doesn´t understand me )

I have Dragon and I find it marvelous. As ive got worse ive trained it a bit more but basically it worked out of the box, with a few errors because of the slurred speech. It reads your emails for vocabluary and style and this sharpens it up more. I love it so much it would be my Desert Island choice of software. You can get Mac versions as well which when i replace this ipad will get it for the new one.
I have DD installed on my Windows machine and am using it for a big project on ataxia and dicitating all my stuff onto it with my arms folded!
I have created a post it note to go onto emails to signal it's been done with SRS so if any errors are there, they know why.
Once youve used it I think youll be really impressed -get somewhere like PC world to demo it on one of their machines.
Just to say i think its a great bit of software and have DD on my Windows machine.
Ive written more about it somewhere else on here but not sure where!
Lol!
Its below! Silly me!
