I am at present in the process of leaving my partner, things just got very difficult and stressful after I was diagnosed .
As such I am about to talk to a mortgage advisor on what i can borrow. Is there any impact on my ability to get a mortgage outside of my age.
I am still working luckily and work from home and my company is very supportive so that will be ok until my symptoms get worse so a few years hopefully at least.
Has anyone got any advice who has been through this or has any insight.
Many Thanks for your attention and any support you can give

It’s worth looking at this link…which is mentioned on Citizens Advice.
If you can afford a mortgage, banks and other lenders aren't allowed to reject your application just because you're ill or disabled. They must assess your application on the basis of affordability and your financial situation, just as they would with any other application.
Being ill or disabled shouldn’t stop you from getting a mortgage, even if you rely on benefits for all or part of your income...there’s a site where you can find out if your ‘condition’ is covered by ‘the Equality Act’.
I’m really sorry to hear that your disability has caused your separation. As W Bee said it shouldn’t make any difference with anything to do with finances and W Bee is truly a fountain of knowledge in fact I think she she is Artificial Intelligence but don’t tell her I said that 😂.
You are very welcome. I have SCA 6 inherited from my mum. Some people inherit a big pile of cash or property, companies but what do I inherit a blooming disability, some people have all the luck😂.
Perhaps a financial adviser first? There is presumably more to consider than the mortgage question. CAB might perform this role (for free). Yes, SCA6 is progressive, but the good news is that if you work with your brain rather than your muscles, you will be able to work longer.
