My new stockings to prevent blood clots in the legs (DVT) arrived this morning from my local Pharmacy along with my new - and more tablets - medication.
What a job it was trying to get them on, talk about a comedy half hour, you have to be a contortionist 
Now I need a good tablet dispenser/reminder.

in Newcastle (mid 60s), a friend and I bought some there. They were supposed be one
size fits all. They must have been for vertically challenged people (midgets), what a
performance! xB
The ones they`ve sent me are are knee high and are soo tight. It was a fight to get thme on...
Once on, they're brilliant at improving blood flow and keeping you warm. It's a good job our summers only last a couple of days! They would keep you too warm.
I had to remove those stockings last night, my feet were going crazy, aching like mad. I could not get to sleep.
I`ve managed to get them back on, but if it keeps happening I`ll have to speak to my doctor about it.
Visit from ATOS tomorrow 09.30 - that should be interesting.
My brother is taking time off work to let him or her into the house and up to my bedroom......................

It's too warm for compression stockings at the moment (you can't say that often) but, my physio told me to only wear them during the day
It`s getting them on that is the problem, my left arm is going the same way as my blooming legs. It`s like watching Laurel & Hardy without the music
I know what you mean re Laurel & Hardy! Currently my leg is in plaster cos of fracturing my ankle. Granddaughter Chloe (15) Has FA. We were both trying to walk through house together - had to go separately cos as Chloe said - "You're hopping, I'm lurching - if we go together we'll crash and both fall in a heap!!

Well, all my worries about the ATOS visit were to no avail. It went okay. The lady was very pleasant considering. She explained that she was not the one who made the judgement etc, etc.......
Took about 70 minutes and the she left. I should get a telephone call in abuot 2 weeks to say whether I`ve got it or not.
Now I`m waiting for a visit from the council social services or whatever they are called to assesss my needs/ help at home....................
All happening at once.
I just hope the doc`s can stop my blackouts, and then I`ll be able to purchase an electric wheelchair and have real independence
