Hi Jurgen

For anyone who doesn't know, narcotics are powerful painkillers and as well as reducing pain can make you drowsy and alter your mood/behaviour. They are often used after an operation to reduce pain. Examples include morphine and pethidine.

Are you referring to a particular narcotic Jurgen?

I agree with all that HarryB said. One thing I would add is narcotic drugs are powerful and highly addicting. If you must take one, be careful of amount you take and don't take it for too long. Only take a narcotic drug under the orders of a reputable doctor and only as directed. Be mindful of the addicting side effect! ;o)

well, my sort of nightmare-question:

do narcotic drugs as used at an operation

affect people like me suffering from SCA ?

Regards

I would think your Neurologist would be the best person to answer that question. Me personally? I`d steer well clear of them shipmate :-O
