months but this time is more extreme. I think I can run, jump, and even fly........obviously I can't. I do suffer from times of depression too - but i thought that was just normal under the circumstances. Seeing my GP next week.
Does anyone have any experiences of this?

I am sure having those feelings you described relating to mania when you have ataxia is extremely distressing. Your GP is by far the best person to advise on the best management for this. In the meantime before you see him/her you must make sure you keep yourself safe in an environment that it is least likely that you will try and act on those thoughts. For example try not to be left alone. I hope all goes well with your GP next week.
I will let you know what my GP says after Friday's appt. The manicness did calm for a few days and I felt grumpy and horrible. Today it's starting again. Apparently it could be an over-active thyroid so will prob start with tests for that.
