OMG, arrogant maybe but I felt I was on my own. None of my friends or family have asthma, so discussing it with them is pointless as until you have been in this position you cannot understand it. Dont get me wrong Im not saying they are not nice people, just that to them its just Ruby making wheezy noises again.

I am on Ventolin, Severent, Flixotide and one whose name escapes me at the moment, that is upstairs, and once I manage to climb those, Im not coming back down. Also on my second lot of anti biotics this year (good start) and second lot of steroids, in fact doctor gave me 100 predisilone today on top of dosage in case of emergency. Now got to decide, whats an emergency?

I have been asthmatic for 40 years, but over the last 6 months it has become acute, and scary, I cant walk without gasping, I cant sing my lungs out while in the shower, kids say this is a god send. Absolutely hate shopping in winter now, why are the shops so hot, the extremes are painful.

Anyway enough gabbing, its just nice to know there is a site with people like me around xx

Oh bless you, I do hope you start to feel better soon. You are right about the shops at the moment, I nearly lost my lunch in John Lewis a few weeks back as it was so hot it started me on a coughing fit. Bit embaressing!

Aww Jackie, I know that one, mine was in Debenhams, maybe we could make a list and get them all covered in our rubbish, if they lose enough money, they might turn it down a bit. Hope you are feeling okay xx
