Back on Pulmicort thank goodness.

2 months ago I was taken off Pulmicort after being on it for 30 years. Doc saying "new guidlines" specify not all patients with asthma/emphysema should be on preventitive steriods. Since stopping Pulmicort i had to use Ventolin much more than ever before. Phone BLF and was told i definately should be on a preventitive and to go back to Doc and state my case. The nurses at BLF are superb and positive. On This Morning TV program this week Dr,Chris pointed how important it is to take preventive inhalers when you have asthma/emphysema as cases f death have incurred when not taking preventative as prescribed. SO MUCH FOR MY DOC

But well done you for getting him to put you back on it. Hope you will feel better as soon as it kicks in.

I would rather have the BLF nurses as my full time doctors rather than my own GP.

Back at doctors today for full blood count, then apointment to see another doctor at my GP Surgery in the morning (not my usual doc) Hospital next week for full check up.

Wanting a copy of all my notes since 2008, also wanting to see a lung specialist regarding my boullus Emphysema.

David 1968

Keep on pressing to see that specialist David. Good luck.

Getting fed up with my own gp surgery as well, Doctor at hospital not much better, does not explain anything to me, had to find out things for myself, here and on the internet. I don't have much faith in my gp anymore.
