THIS DAMN COLD WEATHER: IT,S KEEPING ME... - Lung Conditions C...
THIS DAMN COLD WEATHER
nothing wrong with a whinge Jude, i,ve been stuck in since 4th dec with only visits to docs to get checked over as i,ve had 6 infections since then! so roll on some warm air cause we,re all going stir crazy stuck in the damned house/flat,
With severe cold around we need to protect our lungs so it's common sense to stay indoors.
I'm sick of it too, I'd love to be able to get out a bit more, but I've learned my lesson in the last few weeks and don't want to have a repeat of the agony that brought about.
I'm also looking forward to some nice warm weather again. We aim to go out in the car, even if it's just to some country lane look at blue sky and that yellow thing, forgot what it's called now - been so long since I saw it.
went in the garden to do a little tidying today, it looked fine out there but it didn't take long before my hands were cold and painful and I went back in . But at least I had a Whiff of fresh air (smiles) don't know how to put emoticons on here as you can see.
This may seem silly but looked at your profile,,,,,???????.Who is the dog married to,,,,,,,
Am i just lucky this last year,,i read how you all can,t take the cold weather,,and stay well wrapped up,,i have emphasema( never could spell it) and huff my way round the village every day,,or up the hills in all weathers with the dog,,got soaked from rainy days,,froze when it snowed,,but have had not had 1 lung infection since getting the dog,,,the consultant said it was probably due to really having to expand my lungs on these walks, as before i had the dog,i had 1 infection after another,,, so is there any truth in this i wonder,,,,,
I work outside in the cold. Minus four it's been this year. I have very severe emphysema but I seem to breathe better in the cold air. Maybe I'm just odd ! :grin.
chrissie53. Change the first " a " for a " y " and that's the proper spelling. So you wasn't far off !
Thanks for that puff,,will remember,,glad i,m not the only one that breathes better when out x
Lucky you with your dog, my consultant just diagnosed me with emphysema and asthma and said I was allergic to my dog and my family say time to re-home him. Not done anything about that yet though. Except threw away all his bedding and bought new, now looking at those things that clean the air (sorry forgot what they called)
Dyson hoover great for pet hairs and fluff
Change of plan,,,REHOME THE FAMILY,,,,,,,,SIMPLE,,,
good idea! lol
will definitely look into this - might have to do some saving tho
oops meant about the hoover
I know - my dog is so lovely
keep the dog.he could be a life saver in the summer..what kind of dog is it ??
And anytime you feel the pain, hey jude, refrain,
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders.
For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder
Thanks to John and Paul........................
Me too, can only get better!
Breathe Well Jude,
d.
Banner, regarding your mention of "The phlegm in your throat you can't shift"
I bought two humidity checkers, I have one up stairs and one down.
The ideal humidity is 50-60%
Lately with the central heating on constantly, it's at 40-45 %
I find my throat is constantly tickling and phlegm builds up more at these low humidity levels.
Warm yourself up with a tonic of humour.Look at my blogs for some warm hearted cheer
