Refund from tax man

I just have to share this, a letter came this morning from the tax man saying in 2007 when my disability allowance awarded they underpaid me by three whole days so they are sending me cheque for the £12 they owe me.

I don't hold out much hope for those waiting for decisions if they are still working on 2007 files.

See they're just as good as giving it back as they are taking it, although it has taken them a while. Invest or spend, big decision.

Don't spend it all at once!! A couple of weeks ago I had a cheque from the taxman for £69 pounds +70p interest for overpaid tax for 2010-2011. Woop de doo I thought - then the next day they wrote to tell me that for 2011-2012 I had not paid enough tax and owed them £52. A bit of a let down but at least I don't have to pay it, it will be adjusted for in my tax code.
