You need to relax ... If thats bp and heart rate ... If you feel you are relaxed you need to keep your chest clear ... Am no expert but as your doc give you out to help

Yes, do make sure you keep in touch with your Doc.You dont want it going any higher,& the meds they have these days are pretty good.
As for your question,I dont think one would make the other worse, but you probably need to be aware that your breathing is under control,if hyperventalating, that may cause B/P to rise.
Good luck with it all xx
Thankyou for your kind message,I have C.O.P.D. which as you know my breathing is not brilliant but I never felt as bad as the other day, I suppose the anxiety didn`t do me much good,I just seem to be taking pills and more tablets, inhalers, I get worried where will it all end,Thakyou x
I Have Days Like That ... Then Me Brothers Kids Come Round And Try And Finish Me Off
Think Everyone Thinks How Did I Get To Such A Point ... I Know I Do But You Do Have To Stay Positive

Hello paijejo I had my blood pressure taken at the Drs the other day, it was 185/103 .
It is always higher when taken at the Drs so I invested in a Monitor to check my BP at home rather than face the prospect of more medication. It's just a basic monitor without the frills and cost me £15.
If you check your own blood pressure for a few days it will give a more accurate assessment. You can sometimes be lent one for a few days by your Dr's surgery.
I also have had COPD for some years then I was told I also have high blood pressure. Had a check this morning and it was fine. I was informed that COPD and high blood pressure are not related in any way.
However, I have noticed side effects - the first dose was too strong and I kept getting really bad cramps, and also other blokes watch out for sexual problems - my doc doesn't want to do anything about thsi, but I have been told to insist.
The two readings of blood pressure are, the higher one (systolic), being when when the heart is contracting and it is the pressure that is exerted on the arteries, the lower one (diastolic) is the pressure that is exerted on the arteries when the heart is at rest.
Not sure if this is of any help to you but I am sure your Dr has started you on treatment for it which is generally effective in helping reduce high blood pressure

yes i have the sam thing,, my lung doctors both my lungs are bad and the now is too. make appt, with the heart doctor they will give you pills to make your heart go slower
Hi.
Just to put your mind at rest and relax you a little.
A bp reading of 189/108 IS NOT very high blood pressure, it's high yes but do not get over concerned about it.
Very high BP is 200/180 and above, and severe high blood pressure is 210/200 and above.
try not to think about it, it will settle down eventually but the more you worry about it, the higher it will get
take care

Hello Vangellis, Thankyou for your message,I have been taking medication for high blood pressure for a while and the other morning I woke up feeling absolutely dreadful,my head was about to blow off and I couldn`t walk straight I was very lightheaded I never felt so bad EVER, my grand daughter had to walk me to the doctors,he was very worried and going to the doctors doesn`t worry me at all so it doesn`t make it higher. I am on 2 lots of tablets now and I have felt a lot better thank god, I just hope it never happens again, my main concern was would it affect my breathing but thankyou for putting my mind at rest THANKYOU X X
