if so what stage would you start feeling ill,,,

Me again,,most people who have been diagnosed with COPD seem to have symptoms could you have it without any..
I think your best bet would be to wait for diagnosis first (advice on this previously healthunlocked.com/blf/post... )
Let us know how you get on at your lung function test and do push for referral to a respiratory consultant.
I felt very ill before diagnosis, others do not feel ill even after diagnosis.
Those who continue to smoke and get repeated lung infections seem to deteriorate much more quickly.
im just clutching at straws i know,,,just so worried though and scared,,,i havnt smoked for about 4yrs now,,,
You may be worrying yourself over things that may not apply to you at all. It can be a very big mistake to self diagnose and this can cause you added unnecessary stress.
Good luck with your lung function test results (is it this Friday)?
Let us know how you get on.
Best wishes BC
i got nurse for lung function, then gp after then pm got hospital to see if i got Glaucoma.
Hi Flowers89,
I know it is hard but PLEASE stop trying to guess what if anything is wrong with you, the internet is a wonderful source of information, but you have to be able to ask the relevant questions in order to find out the correct information. I truly wish you the very best outcome from your appointment, if you need any help with that come back and ask away xx
thanks Kad i really am trying to keep off internet,x
I do it too and have been scared to blooming death, so I keep my questions for here and my doctor, I will always google for new stuff though, you never know there may be some miracle cure around the corner xx
yes i just got up from bed as i cant sleep so worried ,,went straight on google again,,not good,xx
what are you worried most about?
not sure really just the thought of being ill i think as at the mo im pretty healthy apart from my breathlessness which has gone since using preventer even after 5 mins jogging on spot and walking up hill get a bit out of breath but recover within few mins but im nearly 60 so i expect that ,also for my age and height my peakflow should be 380 and its 240 in morning and goes up to 290/300 by lunchtime ,so i really dont know what is wrong,xx
I wish I had your lungs LOL I can only walk about 20m without having to stop for a rest and definitely have to rest on any incline, if your breathlessness has got better you may just have a chest infection, I will be thinking of you until you get your proper diagnosis xx, google something nice and have a great day xx
