Relief for Fatigue

Despite good self care of my COPD I still get quite a lot of fatigue, soreness and painful aching muscles.

How do others manage this? And does anyone take any pain relief to help? And if you do what do you use?

I sometimes use paracetamol and wonder if there is anything more effective?

I only get this if I'm inactive, but that's probably not what's causing it for you if you are exercising.

I don't take anything when it happens, but I'm back at the gym today, so my aches will go.

I'm sure others will have more ideas.

Hi Polly, will try again!! When I pressed enter it went to 404!! When I had your problem the Doc gave me a script for panadol with coedeine, found that quite effective. Also a friend of mine has a spa,and that gave good relief.Do hope you feel better soon,

I feel the same Polly but I just try to fight it, I don't like taking to many pain killers as some of them can be addictive. I know it gets you down but I'm not sure what the answers are. xx

Hi Polly,I too get the same problems as you and I hate having to rely on painkillers etc.I can drop off to sleep any time of the day,Im always tired and tend to have little interest in anything at all just lately. Its so frustrating as I had always been so active.Hope some-one can come up with an answer.good luck.

After being of the exercise bike for a while it is difficult and painful getting back to where things left off for one reason or another. Taking amino acid NAC 600mg. Vit. C 2,000mg and 3x250g tablets of spirulina once a day during these times works in my case but seeking advice for the condition that affects each of us as individuals.

Thanks everyone for your support. I have been extra busy this holiday time and still exercising, so I just may need to put my feet up for a day. And, coldcider I will certainly look at those supplements that you mentioned. Anything is worth a try.

Blessings y'all for a fabulous 2013
