Seeing Christmas mentioned on one of the blogs this morning spurred me on to sorting out my Christmas card list, and writing all my cards for this year, (thats until I get one from some one I forgot).
I am so pleased they are done so early. I must admit I have never really enjoyed writing them. I might even get the ones to Australia and South Africa posted on time (if I can get a loan for the postage).

Oh Polly bless you, I haven't even started to think about Christmas yet. Suppose I ought to soon though.
Well done I have bought some nice ones for family but I haven't written on any of them yet. What often happens to me is I buy the nice one early and then put them away carefully only thing is I put them away to carefully and when I go to get them I can't remember where I've put them. Hopefully I won't let that happen this year.
Oh Polly - you are SOOOO good!! I have just about made two Birthday Cards for this month.
Time for action on my part.
I haven't done mine yet but I am going to make this year the last year I do them. I am going to ask all my friends to make a donation to BLF next year instead. It seems such a waste to send cards that are just put in the bin when a donation instead could do such good.
You're VERY organised. This year we will only be sending cards to immediate family. We just can't afford the extortionate cost of sending 100+ cards to friends all over the globe.
Don't be silly polly I haven't even given a thought to christmas. I don't until the first week of so of December though I know that you have to if you need to send abroad.

|Thinking about electronic cards although I prefer to stand my cards on the mantelpiece. They have some pretty ones though.
Good Morning
For anyone (like me) who isn't as organised as Polly - don't forget that the BLF produces a range of Christmas cards - hopefully there is a design there to suit everyone.
We have decided that we will not send christmas cards this year , mainly as a result of the blatant profiteering of the royal mail .
Despite vastly increasing their profits last year and again in the first six months this year, and I do mean vastly increased profits ,they have still increased the cost of stamps by huge amounts .
Those people like close friends and family we will see anyway ,and those who live further away will understand I'm sure .
I for one do not want to go through the demeaning process however it will work and no one seems to know ,of being able to purchase cheaper stamps if people are in receipt of certain benefits.
Not done yet but have bought some. I did post one to the USA last week though. We do not tend to send many now but they are nice to have up when we receive them. I have started Christmas shopping though as cannot bear all the crowds nearer the time. I also shop online as certain things are cheaper and I like having things delivered! I am not into shopping much. xxx
I adore Christmas and always ready and organised in Oct. This year is no exception and I have written all my cards and spent evenings when my husband is on nights wrapping all the presents! My front bedroom now resembles Santa's Grotto! I just love it. My tree wont go up tho till the week before Christmas. I find getting everything done so early leaves me to enjoy the build up without stress
