Impressions off - Pastel Shade Hydrangeas.

This was not the Hydrangeas I was going to paint, a large bush in a pot. That is time consuming and not been good this week. so I did this easy impresssion of pastel shaded Hydrangeas - The pot of Hydrangeas for another day. The bottom right bllom was supposed to look like "Limelight" (LIGHT GREEN) in colour, but the flash on camera deadened that. Apologies for that but flash of a black canvas is not easy./

Hydrangeas are one of my favourite flowers. We spent a lot of holidays in France, and we often visited a lake area that has a hydrangea walk around it. It’s beautiful when the plants are in blossom.

We like them, Limelight I think is best. Not been to France but Hydrangeas and a lake sounds right.

Beautiful Ern , these were my grans favourite, as well as roses.I do recall as a child my uncle and grandfather often going out after a horse had been in the road to collect any manure for their roses, they had all beautiful colours of them. Thanks for sharing Ern , another beautiful piece of art very well done.

It is lovely Ern. It’s frustrating when you have a vision of what the finished product will look like and it doesn’t live up to your expectations, ( albeit just due to the camera flash ) but the colours really are lovely. The colour mix , especially in the limelight , is impressive and they are so realistic !

Thank you Val, Black Canvas makes colours pop but flash leaves a footprint. Roll on better natural light.Lime light is one of the best IMO x
