Is this part of having copd or is this another trip to the Doctor?
Does anyone else get the feeling of f... - Lung Conditions C...
Does anyone else get the feeling of food/crumbs stuck in the throat?
Hi remod, I have the same symptom as you sort of itchy irritation at back of throat (mucus hanging at back of throat) I find, the only way I can ease mine a little is to sip water and try to clear it, bad news is I have had mine for over a year !! and up to now no real answers on how to stop it, it does seem to be an allergy or PND, let me know if you find out anymore too, good luck xx
Also is a symptom of oral thrush, which is caused by some inhalers too xx
Difficulty swallowing can be a side effect of some medications.
oh my yess was one of the first symptoms for me. I take anti sickness pill for it because my coughing to get rid of this can be so ferocious I have had this for 5 years , believe it or not you get used to it as another thing to deal with
HI remod. I sometimes get the sensation of having a swollen throat which makes swallowing difficult and can sometimes affect my breathing. Not too sure if this is just a nervous reaction to things. Have also had a sore throat every morning for about a week. Don't know what that's about either. I have been sipping cloudy lemonade to keep throat clear ,being careful not to rush or gulp it as it can take take the breathe away!!! x
Hi to all, great info from you all, there are a lot of common areas that seem to hit home, never thought that what can help can also add to more problems. So I guess there is more to come the more copd gets worse... oh joy to the world.
Anybody wrote a book yet on what to expect or is this copd different for everyone?
So true redmod even to the extent I woke up one morning a few days ago had a night's sleep didn't feel breathless or anything present in the throat area and started to angst about what the day would bring I started really feeling mad that some people must feel like that every morning- this illness is turning me into some kind of nutcase or at the very least not a very charitable person.
Needless to say didn't have long to wait before a coughing spasm brought me back down to earth, yes that and all the daily medication! grrrrhh. A book's a great idea - Gordon could definitely write a bestseller.
