Feeling down today...................

Had some sad news today. A lady I have been corresponding with that the BLF put me in touch with emailed me today to say her husband passed away. He was 53 and had IPF and recently diagnosed with cancer. He was still actively working in May and went into hopsital with an infection. She said even though they knew he was ill, they are all in a complete state of shock as they just didn't think they would lose him so suddenly and so soon.

I also found out that a lady from my line dancing class passed away whilst in hospital. She was diagnosed with IPF too but it maybe now that she was mis diagnosed and had cancer. She hardly danced in the last few months as she was unable to but she still came to socialise.

My dad, (has IPF) hasn't been the same lately. He's quieter than usual and doesn't join in conversations so much. I think it takes too much out of him. His appetite is not the same and he doesn't look too great to be honest. I still ask how he is and ask my mam but I feel like I'm afraid to ask now or even talk about it as I don't want to face reality that he is deteriorating.

Sorry for being negative, it's not normally me, just having a down day and still not having my laptop back yet so not been on here for a while. Mum lent me hers again-gold star award there.

Hope your all having a better day than me, you all deserve it xx

A massive (((((((((hug)))))))))))) flying your way tanyamarie :)

There's not much more I can say except I'm sorry for the losses you have suffered, but if you go with the flow I'm sure you'll see the silver lining very soon.

Keep on keeping on :)

Ah that was nice, best and only hug I've had all day!!!!!! The rest were strangled cwtches from my 2 year old but I'm sure she meant well lol.

Thank you elian xx

So sorry to hear your news tanyamarie, there was a member of our breathe easy group that went very quickly, nobody expecting it, was a bit shock for all, its very sad when it happens and for a time brings home our mortality, I can understand how you are feeling. A period of just going through the process and in time coming to some place of recovery from the shock and loss. Just be as you need to be at this time.

Hugs
