Welcome to the forum Shelly, good to meet you. You’ve certainly been through a lot and l hope everything goes well for you on Wednesday. My husband has COPD, probably stage 3/4 as well as other health issues including heart disease. He doesn’t have a pacemaker though so l can’t really answer your question. Keeping you in my thoughts and hopeful things will improve for you. Xxx

My husband had a pacemaker fitted 10 years ago. He doesn’t have asthma but was feeling tired all the time and also breathless. He’s a golfer and he was struggling to get round the golf course too. Best thing he ever had done and has just had it changed as they last 10 years. He’s merrily been playing golf all this time and getting on with life for the last 10 years.

I hope it makes a significant difference for you too.

Hi Shelly. Both my dad and my husband have pacemakers. I can’t comment on btreatlessness (though it stands to reason that if your heart is pausing you may not be getting optimum oxygen) but energy levels certainly improved.
