Good morning everyone. The sun is shining in London!!! It makes such a difference. I have just bought myself a rollator. My son in law made the bag for oxygen tank from my trolly bag. Oh what a difference I can walk so much further now I would definitely recommend this. At least I’ll get a bit more exercise. Roll on summer.

It will be good to enjoy some warm sun out with your rollator. I notices it was slightly lighter when I left the house at 7am this morning too

Hi Osha ,Iast week I was tested to see if I needed oxygen, the out come was I will be tested again in three months ,they told me that oxygen is not given to help breathing it is given to support other organs ,do you find it helps with your breathing

Loopylorre profile image
Loopylorre in reply toAlice70

Hi, I have ambulatory oxygen & I don’t find it helps with breathing, it is just to protect organs when exercising etc, hope this helps, others may find it different but that’s how it works for me 😊🌸💐🌷

What a happy post!

We've got sun here in Eastbourne today as well and I'll be off to my art group on my scooter again.

I won't get the same ammount of exercise as you will, but I will enjoy the ride.

My husband has had to take me in the car so many times this winter. Cold is manageable but soaking wet is no pleasure.

Enjoy your rolator and the benefits it will bring you. And three cheers for your son in law for making a bag to fit your oxygen. Brilliant!

Xx Moy

what lovely news Osha , it certainly lifts your spirits when you can get out in the fresh air. Especially if the sun ☀️ is shining. 🥰

When I next come down to Eastbourne, I shall thumb a lift from the first lady who comes along with a rollator. If it's not you, she'll probably be calling for the men in white coats.

I'm glad you've got this wonderful sounding machine. I've been trying to persuade my husband to get one, but I shall probably end up getting myself one before he agrees. Enjoy the sun as you stroll along the prom, prom, prom. 😊😊😊🌞🌞🌞xxx

Those Rollators can be such a help. I have one, it really does help me, I have Fibromyalgia as well as COPD, I can walk much further with it, and if I need to rest I can sit on the little seat for a while, it's been a godsend to me. Hope you get lots of use out of yours. As for the sun, it's been sunny here all day - Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales - a real bonus as the weather forecast on my phone showed clouds all day! Enjoy what's left of the sunshine and enjoy the freedom brought on by your rollator. I call mine Ronnie, my husband's is called Tilley!

Ha I can visualise Ronnie and Tilley going down the road. I think they should be advertised more. I was wondering if the government would have them in NHS supplies

We often get remarks like are you having a race, or who is winning the race! Just a thought, did you pay VAT when you purchased yours? If so you can claim it back, we bought ours from Amazon, we requested VAT declaration forms which we filled in and sent back to them and were sent a refund. When we have purchased other items in person we have just filled in the form at the shop and the VAT was then deducted.

Osha profile image
Osha in reply toWelshcatlady

No I didn’t pay vat. It was from a mobility aid shop in north London. The invoice said no vat Thanks for asking though
