Got a text saying get a hospital bag ready just in case.
In long life carrier bag (hospitals have no room for suitcases)
Obviously medication, paperwork with details of lung disease, next of kin.
Last time I needed a bag for hospital you took night clothes, face flannel, body flannel, face towel, bath towel, tissues, slippers, book to read, small change for when mini shop came round.
Well that was years ago and not for a plague victim.
Anyone know what we are supposed to pack?

The hospital may decide for any patient going in, you can't bring that etc. My last hospital stay was last year I was only in for 3 nights and I took all as below I expect is more streamline with the coronavirus.
Just as Sassy says, that's all you need . Have a lovely day and take care of yourself 😊 Bernadette xx
Pack with view to recovery and stay afterwards wheezy, These are the things I would pack (NHS may disregard most of it as they would be thinking only of survival): 1 and 2 would be most important perhaps. 3 for personal comfort in recovery.
1. Typed or written - A list of diagnosed health issues, your medicines and daily dose,
your age, hospital number, name and address, next of kin contact name address, telephone,. doctor contact telephone and address.
2. Your actualy medicines.
3. One pair of jim jams, one set of out wear, with an extra top change underwear change. Small face cloth and microfibre towel (they are small and dry easily) Face / body cream.
Your ipod for music, pod casts and charger, your phone + charger, a book or 2. easy portable craft, knitting or crochet. Packet of sweets (something to suck) maybe some pro biotics or multivitamins.
Whether or not that all fits into the carrier bag is another matter (depends on the size of the carrier bag I guess), you could start with things along those lines then decide what to leave off.
Hope we all stay safe and well and we don't need to go into hospital.
I had a Bag Packed many times when waiting for a Transplant Call over 3 years of waiting, Transplant never happened, so I am ok to get one packed, Hopefully No Need. XXX Stay Safe & Well. XXX C.
My letter says prepare a single hospital bag include emergency contact number, list of medications, including dosage and frequency, any information on planned care appointments, things for an overnight stay, snacks, pyjamas, toothbrush, medication, etc if you have an advanced care plan bring that. Hope this helps x
Having seen how over worked hospitals are, knowing they are short of needed drugs and equipment, that's possibly all any of us will get. Lets hope isolation keeps us safe xxxx
