I have followed the career of Johnny Walker since the mid 60s. Loving his style as a DJ. What an inspiration he was to many giving comfort and joy from his radio shows. RIP Johnny with your new audience in that heavenly place๐๐ผ.

We always had the radio on in our house when growing up. All these older dj's were part of our youth and it's sad to read we gave lost one, RIP Johnny x
Yes, the end of an era a polished DJ from sixties/seventies, his early years living in Solihull not far from where I lived. His first job being at a local (to me) car sales showroom. Another member of the pop music industry Denny Laine who died with a lung disease around Christmas 2023. He was in his late seventies. He was born and grew up in Tyseley a suburb in the south Birmingham area.
He was a member of the Moody Blues in the mid sixties, later spent about ten years with Paul McCartney and Wings.
I can remember listening to him everyday on the radio, loved hearing the little stories he used to tell, sometimes very sad ones, & always talking about his family, very sad ๐
