Well, Dr Google describes maxillo-facial as relating to the mouth, jaw, face and neck.

Maxillo- facial surgery I believe is the normal department for you to be referred to. I don't think you will be alone believing it's only dental work they do.I am also waiting on an appointment with maxill.

Hi Yvonneh , thanks for the update . I’m so pleased you will be seen very soon , I’m sure the worst part of dealing with any physical problem is the waiting and not knowing . As others have said the department you’re going to is the right one and hopefully you’ll feel much better when you’ve spoken to them 😊 Please continue with updates xx

I had an appointment at the Maxillofacial department for a check on sinuses and nerves as I had peculiar numbness sensations in my cheek and left nostril. I had a MRI scan. This department deals with anything head / neck related x

I had complex jaw surgery and was under the maxillofacial clinic. It's for head and neck issues. Good luck.

Max fax is more than teeth and where you need to go. They have extensive knowledge in your area. As others have said jaw, face, neck, nodes etc. I am off there myself after a very tough two months and need further help. Good luck. xx
