check out the Asthma and Lung Conditions website .

In search box I typed How can I manage my breathlessness ….some ideas there .

Google the Asthma and Lung Conditions , not the one at the top which is sponsored ….that one wants you to sign up …..but the one below with the pink cross logo on …easier to access , nothing to sign

Quite a lot of other information too.

If you are a UK resident you can contact the ALUK helpline .open tomorrow.

Pursed lip breathing helps me ….videos on you tube .

best wishes .

To be honest how I cope with breathlessnes -Well I just do, I have COPD/Asthma controlled and Dyspnea - I have Fostair/Atrovent and Salmanol to help with breathing from COPD and Asthma, I also have a resue pack Doxy and Pred ,

Dyspnea is another matter, comes from heart problems as well as lung, so difficult. When I get out of breath with (Dyspnea) I ust sit and take it easy until it passes,

I think Knitter is right, if a UK resient phone ALUK helpline - 0300 222 5800.

Hi Biker88.

I take Oramorph for pain - 2.5ml to 5ml every 4 hours if needed. I find Oramorph helps my breathing also. It kinda relaxes it. You say low dose, are you on 2.5ml?

Hi Ern, I’m on 1.25 ml every 4 hours as required, at such a low dose it doesn’t become addictive are stop me driving

Thank's for replay. I started with 2.5, but condition got worse, so now I take as needed but I keep it as low as possible, the effect on breathing is a welcome side effect, I am able to drive as I am used to it, but if even slighly tired, I don't.

Hi, pursed lip breathing helps me too and leaning slightly forward as I breathe helps me also. Have you seen a physio? Mine has been really really helpful. My gp referred me

Hope you feel better soon xxx

Hi, what other meds do you take for the Bronch? My wife has Azitro 3x per week and does a lot of walking, 3 km per day. We also play table tennis as the arm movement helps to clear the mucus. No other ideas at the moment, so wish you well and I`ll get back to work, Chris.

Thank you LissacFrance

I take Azithromycin 3 days a week also & I walk 3or 4 km a day .

My lungs bleed easily which is also very scary & getting very breathless often leads to a bleed .

I don’t get a run of good health very often

Oooh, the bleed on the lungs does not sound too good. What does your consultant have to say about that? Must get back to work, take care, and don`t be afraid to call your consultant`s secretary if you can`t speak directly, Chris.

Pleased to hear that. My wife has visit to see pneumo consultant early November, let`s see what she has to say. I expect oxygen levels will be down this time. She has still not fully recovered from Covid we picked up when on holiday last June. Not the best holiday we`ve had. Have a good evening, Chris.

I am prescribed oxycodone (allergic to morphine) and find it helps. I have inhalers too. I think keeping as active as possible helps, e.g. yoga, pilates, walking. Some members here are members of singing groups and I think playing the harmonica was mentioned! It's a blessed nuisance! 🤣
