A rough few days, not feeling my best but could not define anything specific. Went for breathing tests at hospital and when I asked about results was told my results were not as good as last time but the consultant would explain more at next appointment. End of May. Felt a bit down after 5 months of Mycophenolate I hoped I would be stable . Then on Friday afternoon suddenly felt unwell. SOB big time - sats unstable. Called 111 to ask for a GP assessment. Ambulance was with me in 15 mins. Oxygen and into hospital. Xray showed LRTI. Couldn’t talk by this time, just sounded like a Hubble bubble pipe! All I can say is thank goodness for antibiotics. After 3 days in hospital I am now home as a patient of a virtual ward. I send in my obs twice a day by a nifty bit of kit and someone reviews them. Happy to be home but the Drs in respiratory unit said I probably need to go onto the next tablet- Nintedanib but they would leave that for the ILD team to decide.
I know I am fortunate, loving family and supportive friends but sometimes life can be such a blooming challenge!!! Sorry for my 😞
Stay well everyone X

Life can be a daily challenge but it seems as if you’re being helped and supported which is good news. Nice to get home from hospital and hope things improve with each passing day. Take care xxx❤️
Please don't apologise for posting when you're down. We've all been there. I'm glad you got prompt treatment and hope you will soon be feeling better. Hope your loving family will pamper you. xxx
Thank you everyone for your kind words. Whilst friends and family are great I do think only other people who have the same or similar health issues really “ get it”
The sun is trying to get out here, always bucks me up 🌞
Hi Peege, my hospital appointment was with the respiratory staff who get you to do various blowing into machines that then calculate your lung function levels. They don’t check by listing in to your chest. I knew that it wasn’t going well as I had to pull the mouthpiece out and take the nose clip off on a couple of occasions 🥺
I had to go into a pod thing and it was all computerised. That nose clip is really scary and I had to do it without my oxygen on. Still haven't had any official results.
There is absolitaly no need to apologise posting about your hospital stay and low mood. We all get that from time to time, I think we all get fed up with being ill.
You did the right thing dialing 111 and wanting to be assessed - A blessing you did.
You have a supportive family and that is a big plus, only for Anne (My wife) standing with me , I would have had a lot rougher ride with my ailment.
Im sure you are pleased to be home after such a scare. I sometimes wonder about the drugs we take, they may be helping the illness that we have but play havoc with our bodies. I do hope things settle down for you and you start to feel better soon, if not go back to the doctor there may be something else they can try x
Glad you're home after your unplanned trip to hospital. What an awful experience! Hope your doctors get on top of your condition and improve things for you soon.
I'm glad you're back home and being well looked after. The virtual ward is fantastic! There whenever you need them but from the comfort of your own home. I do hope you feel better soon. Tina x
