I have not posted about my progression for some time but wanted to share some good news. I had CyberKnife (basically SBRT) to remove a 2.2 cm adenocarcinoma from the right lung in Nov/Dec of 2020. It was found coincidentally when I had a PET for a spinal meningioma which was removed surgically in July of that year.
I had my latest PET yesterday and got the report today that everything looks stabilized, no change in the results since a couple years ago. The only change on the report was a fracture of the third rib on my right side. It seems when I took a tumble due to my sandal toe being caught in the groove of the zig zag pavers outside the market in December, I saved the bags of groceries I had in each hand, but the landing on my right bicep (I carried the bruise for months) cracked the rib!! I still am very happy about the report!π I have not worn those sandals to the market since December and now....I never will!
So, as the man said as he jumped from the 20th story window - "So far, so good!"π

Ours came with 6 kittens in tow! We were lucky enough to find homes for the kittens, had her spayed and sent her on her way. That was 12 years ago. She never left and now has command of the house and a bedroom she calls hers! Clever kitties indeed!
Have a bottle of 2017 Francis Coppola Claret waiting to be opened and shared with Hubs tonight! Was going to drink it all myself if results were crappy!π
Great news dunnellon! Broken ribs are so painful & can lead to chest infections because you can breath deeply so take care and I hope the good news sticks π
I didn't know this one was cracked! It must be a hairline fracture. I had a broken sternum from an auto accident and I certainly knew it with every breath!
Brilliant. Isn't it weird how things get picked up by accident! I had exactly the same as you - little cancerous nodule spotted via PET scan for something else and operated on with little cuts to the side and a robot doing all the work π.
My follow up 6 monthly PET scan showed the cancer has gone, nothing else showing but my heart is in trouble!!! Waiting for an appointment to sort that out π.
It is weird! I have a friend had an auto accident in Dec and found a cancerous nodule on her lung while running tests in the hospital. She's a retired nurse, never smoked, had no symptoms. Had a lobectomy, robotic, and now finds out lymph nodes were already affected. Auto accident probably saved her life. Best of luck with a cardiac consultation and sooner than later!
Sorry for the late reply (went away to our son's for a couple of days and left all technology behind!!). Amazing how accidental finds can save lives. Wishing you all the best.
